"Both Karen and Jo-Anne are excellent networkers and have connected me to resources that have been instrumental in being able to provide services to my clients. Join our workshop on navigating perinatal loss: Explore care, legal insights, and heartfelt support strategies for families and providers.
When we think about end-of-life, we often call to mind the last chapter in a story - hopefully a novel.
Some stories are brief, and are told in the hearts of a very small community of people. This is the case with perinatal loss.
This workshop will go over the post-loss processes for different stages of gestation or early life, including logistics we can consider as community providers.
Our session will be interwoven with examples and stories to illustrate key factors, and plenty of time for questions.

ABOUT EMILY BOOTLE
DeathCare BC was created to bridge the knowledge gap between end-of-life and after-death care.
Before making calls to every funeral home in your city, get in touch with me to learn about your options from an objective and knowledgable source.
I will take you through the processes, questions, and considerations unique to death services that will help you to make an informed decision. So that when you call the funeral home, you know what to ask.
" I am so grateful to be part of this network. It's rare to find a community where members promote each other and share information so generously. Karen and Jo-Anne are fun, energetic and very attentive to questions. I see DDNI as the backbone to this emerging field of death workers."
"Taking this workshop was invaluable, personally and professionally to compliment my studies in End Of Life Planning ... Grateful for this heart centred community and the leadership and teachings offered by Karen and Jo-Anne
Join our workshop on navigating serious illness and end of life within BC's Complex Healthcare system.
Over half of all deaths occur in hospitals. These deaths are often unexpected and always complex. Patients are too ill to go home or to hospice. Hospitals are busy, bright, and noisy, with a critical shortage of private rooms.
In these environments, doulas must be navigators and advocates. This is the environment where your skills and compassion are needed most.
In this workshop, you will learn who to talk to within the hospital and how to talk to the team to help adults get the end-of-life care they need and deserve.
