Denise Brandon, Soul’s Gentle Journey
End Of Life Doula
During my years as a care aide in residential care I was honoured to look after my residents in their final days and hours and know that I was able to give them comfort, compassion and dignity.
It is my hope that I can help people to care for their loved ones at home during such a sacred time.
Birth and Death are the two most meaningful events in life and it is my hope that I can facilitate a return to experiencing these last moments fully and with gratitude.

Memorial Trees a Beehives
Heritage Gardens was created to provide families - and communities - with affordable, sustainable, eco-friendly burial space. Our commitment is to service the bereaved with dignity and compassion; preserving the natural beauty and integrity of the land; and producing outstadning memorials that capture the essence of the life lived.
As the only Certified Green Burial site in Metro Vancouver, to us sustainability means growing and donating food on unused property; giving away honey from our beehives to families who have lost a loved one, and standing with the Memorial Society of BC and the Partners in Care Alliance, to enforce an ethical code of conduct when dealing with grieving families. To be sustainable, it must be affordable - which is why our prices are less than half of other Metro cemeteries.

Kimberlee Klein, The Unforgotten Ones
Grief Specialist
I provide a clear path forward when people are releasing grief after loved one loss, pregnancy loss and pet loss. I do not work with clients forever, we clear the grief then focus on the positive memories associated with each loved one that they miss. Then we create their life again.
I have created new tools which brings a safe place to release from. Tools such as the Grief Release Process, and the Forgiveness Strategy brings immediate relief to each client. The weight of grief disappears with each session we do.
I offer One on One or Group session format. I also offer a family session for when loved ones initially pass away. I provide a Feelings and Needs tool that helps each family member individually to deal with their grief as it comes up so that the grief doesnt have to add up over time (and ideally they don't need my services in the future😁)
I also offer a couple of grief courses to be taught in a business setting so people are equipped to talk about grief with their colleagues and retention of employees is kindly organized into businesses processes (aka human processes.)

As a trained Death doula I provide compassionate non-judgemental support to anyone who is wanting to prepare for their eventual death. Knowing your wishes and desires and having your plans in place that reflect them; is the final gift you leave to those who must learn to live their lives without you. Having that 'death talk' with your loved ones can seem daunting but I can help guide you. As an Emergency nurse I witnessed too often people burdened to make decisions when they had no idea of what was desired by their loved one for end of life care . This may occur when faced with worsening chronic illness as well as sudden serious illness or catastophic injury. What matters most? Let's talk...

Creating happiness amid bereavement is a high calling; one that speaks to me as a Life-Cycle Celebrant and an End of Life Doula. The passing of a loved one is difficult time in our life's dance. I am particularly skillful crafting sensitive ceremonies for children and loved ones who have died by suicide.

End of Life Doula, Grief Companion
Knowing every life has a story that needs to be told and is significant, makes it my humble honour to walk this journey with you and your family to create a ceremony that is unique and reflects the true essence of your loved one. Meaningful funerals are personalized funerals that tell the life story of those who died, and represents your family’s beliefs and values.
A Celebration of Life or funeral is a gift to the person who died, and we include as many people as possible in the planning and activities. It is your chance to express the value of the life that was lived. If working with a Funeral Director, I can connect with them to ensure that our services are bridged together.
As an End-of-Life Doula, I assist, advise and inform, by offering physical, emotional, and spiritual support to the dying. I have been trained to empower, educate and encourage people and their families to be involved in making decisions during the impending process.
To many people, the word “doula” refers to a childbirth coach, but doulas are not only for when life begins — we are there when life is ending to ensure a beautiful transition.

Central Alberta's Heart Centre for Children's Grief and Loss Support in the Company of Animals.
Animal-assisted activities are at the heart of my work. My animal team and I provide children and teens the tools to navigate through grief and difficult life changes. We offer community education events.
Individual sessions & our 8 week custom program helps children and teens build life skills for managing grief, providing holistic wellness strategies for processing the often complex and intense emotions that kids can experience.
Kids grieve differently than adults, and it is in the company of our animals (animal-assisted activities), kids are given an opportunity to explore their personal life experiences with change, loss and grief.
Programming is offered for schools, individuals or families.

End of Life Doula & Consultant
Approaching end of life, whether your own or that of someone close, often becomes completely overwhelming with all it entails. Fear, intense emotions, feelings of isolation and lack of peace of mind and calm leave people exhausted, stressed and traumatized.
Imagine being offered compassionate, unconditional support that makes you feel seen and understood. Imagine feeling safe and protected while you pause, absorb and process the magnitude of the situation. Imagine feeling calm and secure in moving forward with next steps.
Dying the Dream provides this support to those who have received a terminal diagnosis, those who are at their natural end of life and those who care for and about them.
Customized, affordable offerings and gentle guidance encompass end of life planning and preparation, bedside vigils to the actively dying, those who choose MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying) and grief healing.
Become liberated and experience an enriched end of life, chock full of purpose and meaning, no matter how much time remains. This is truly dying the dream..

Death is part of the circle of life, but we don’t talk about it that way. Our modern culture has turned death into something that is dark and gloomy. My vision is to flip the script and celebrate those we love in an authentic way… before they are gone.
I hope to inspire creative, productive conversation about death by building a community that is focused on helping to bring to light the beauty and mystery that can happen when someone is nearing their end of life. It’s a tough yet sensitive topic of conversation, but one that our society so badly needs to embrace.

No Story Lost is a company dedicated to preserving personal histories and cherished memories for future generations. From the moment the customer visits our website, they are guided through the process, each step of the way. A comprehensive FAQ page, web chat, and the option to arrange a call with a team member before purchasing all provide the customer with confidence and peace of mind.
What sets No Story Lost apart is the simplicity and efficiency of our approach. Customers can move from 'hello' to hardcover, in as little as 8 weeks. This makes it a great option for people where time is of the essence, such as someone who has recently been diagnosed with dementia or a palliative patient. A series of phone or video interviews can take place relatively quickly, according to the storyteller's schedule. Our interviewers and writers are flexible and able to accommodate different schedules and time zones.
In terms of the interview approach, questions are asked in a genuine and heartfelt manner. These questions delve into not only the triumphs and milestones but also gently go into the hardships and challenges that are a part of everyone's story.
No Story Lost's team of experienced interviewers brings out the emotions and feelings of the storyteller. The stories are written in the voice of the storyteller, ensuring that their loved ones can hear their voice as they're reading the memoir.
After the writers create the manuscript, the customer can provide edits, add pictures and descriptive elements, and any other feedback to ensure that the finished copy is exactly what they envisioned. No Story Lost has a Happy Tears Guarantee, where if you don't feel like you could cry happy tears while reading the book, we will work with you until you do or will refund your money.
The end result is a beautiful, custom coffee table book that is designed to preserve your cherished memories for future generations.
